Julius lifted his hand, touching the wet, sticky liquid that seeped through his chest.
He knew, logically, that it was blood.
And if he brought his hand out, he knew heâd see red.
And, suddenly, the realization that he was bleeding, that he was hurt - perhaps fatally - hit. Pain bloomed from his chest, and Julius couldnât stop himself from falling to his knees. He couldnât even utter a pained gasp as he landed on the ground, face scraping against the stones.
Maybe it was time for him to sleepâŚ
âOh, goddess. Please be alive. Please still be alive.â
No, it wasnât time for him to sleep.
His brother still needed him!
Julius groaned, trying to staunch the blood from escaping his body, clinging on the thought of his brother. â⌠barely⌠but still⌠â He tried to pick himself up, arms shaking.
The bullet had cut through his intended target easily. And flown right into another person.
Heâs screwed up. Someone innocent was hurt because of him.
âNo...â He murmured as the figure fell harshly to the ground. Rushing over he found it was Julius. He hardly knew the man, but still. Heâd shot him.
âOh, goddess. Please be alive. Please still be alive.â He held both hands out and began casting Chi Healer.
When Julius began moving Isaac pressed a hand to his bloody chest to force him to remain on his back. âDonât move. Youâll only make it worse.â
