It’s our party’s first anniversary!
You want me to roll for WHAT?!
“Roll d12.″
Our DM, when letting the dice decide how well an NPC was endrowed. Â
Master of the “Sneaky-Sneak”
Debutaunt, our half orc Rogue Barbarian has mad charisma skills. Here’s how she’s introduced out party: When facing drow scouts looking for escaped prisoners from Velkynvelve (i.e. the majority of our party) “We’re just a wandering band of bards and mistrals...” When meeting a deep gnome outside Blingdenstone, “We’re just a wandering band of wheelwrights and cart repairers...” If she catches a look from one of us, “What?! Look, I got this. I’m very persuasive. I used to sell boats.”
Denied.
While taking a short rest, our Coastal Druid, Meg, hears a couple arguing.Â
Meg, OOC: What do I need to roll to like eavesdrop?
DM: Perception.
Meg, OOC: Ok...Oooh, that’s a 26.
DM: You can’t make out a word they are saying.Â
The couple was arguing in gnomish. Meg doesn’t speak gnomish.Â

No, you spent an hour in the Baldur’s Gate 3 character creator, most of it agonizing over makeup and hairstyle.
Every time i decide to play a badass character in any rpg who’s supposed to be really good at fighting, two things inevitably happen:
1. Another persons shows up with a better fighter build solely because they rolled better.
2. My dice will spite me, but only when im in combat.
So my jock character will end up being the party nerd by session five because I put spare points into history on a goddamn whim
I hate when real life gets in the way of my dice.
