Dahlia: [sitting on the stairs to the library]
Penny: Dahlia! [runs toward her half sister] There you are! I've been looking all over for you!
Dahlia: [looks up from her sketchbook at her younger sibling; an expression of dull interest and slight annoyance is glued on her face.] I can't imagine why.
Penny: [grunts quietly to herself in discomfort, but presses matters forward] I found this, [pulls out a flyer] it's for a roller derby team! [sits next to Dahlia] Dad has been bugging us to find something to do together. I thought this could be it! I mean, you're an ice skater, and I did rugby for a bit, I think this would be--
Dahlia: [stands up] No.
Penny: [eyebrows fall, a look of dejection on her face] But, why not? It would be perfect! Imagine all the fun we could have knocking bitches down together--
Dahlia: I said no, Penelope. That's my answer.
Penny: What? Why not-- and don't call me that. You make it seem like I'm a stranger.
Dahlia: I wish you were.
Penny: What's wrong with you?!
Dahlia: No, what's wrong with you? We've made it clear in the past that we don't get along. I don't understand why all of a sudden you'd want to change that.
Penny: Because dad--
Dahlia: I don't care what "Dad," thinks. [mutters] For all I care, "dad" can eat horse shit. [looks at Penny] You're a delinquent, just a few weeks ago you got your ass kicked by a bunch of greasers. What were you thinking?
Penny: I-... why? Why do you always have to be like this?
Dahlia: I'm just being real with you.
Penny: Ugh! Y'know what. This was a mistake. [holds back tears and stuffs the flyer back into her bag] You're disgusting and I should have never come talk to you... about anything!
Dahlia: So you admit I was right.
Penny: YOU'RE THE WORST-- [runs off, leaving Dahlia at the foot of the library]
Dahlia: Hmph. [Concern flashes over her face before she dismisses any thought of regret continues to sketch on her own]
