"Then why is your face red back to your ears, hmmm?"

"The truth embarrasses you?" he laughed lightly. "Well, you're even more beautiful when you blush," he pressed on, letting his thumb stroke over Ed's warmed cheek.

"Yeah well, don’t let it go to your head," he grinned slightly. "You’re still an insufferable bastard too…"

"It’s only for a few days," he chuckled, letting his hand lightly rest against the side of Ed’s face, his thumb lightly stroking over his cheek. "Its just an inspection visit to the West. But, how about if you behave, I’ll bring you back a present?" 

And Roy didn’t fail to deliver, that smug grin spreading over his face as easily as warm butter did over bread. “Is that so?” he asked not even bothering to pay any mind to the agitated finger being pointed in his direction. “That’s interesting, I didn’t think you even thought about such things little-own had dreams about them…” Pausing, he leaned forward a bit, his hands clasping lightly behind his back. “And about me no less. Is there something I should know Fullmetal?” Yes, there was mocking in his tone, but also amused curiosity.

                       There it was, that smug look on his face,                        Edward didn't know how to explain himself                        because Mustang had no idea what thoughts                        he had been secretly thinking. He had a lot of                        explaining to do, but he hated the  bastard for                         making him feel this way.

                                ❝I-I don't know... I--❞

                     He was screwed, how could he explain what                      he just said? He coulld lie and say that he was                      playing a game, but he was pretty sure Mustang                      would see right through that lie. He just enjoyed                      teasing him didn't he?

                   ❝I was just joking! Yeah, that's right joking!                      Gotcha there!❞

     Waiting, that's all he could ever do. Was wait for his return. He missed him so much, he didn't care how cold it was outside, he'd sit out there until something happened. He of course would go inside once it got dark, but he'd just stand outside the place he was living in where it snowed every day.

        He'd wait for as long as he had to, he had a glimmer of hope. He wouldn't give up until he saw his face again. He wondered what he looked like now, was he the same as he always been? Or did he actually get taller? He was pretty sure that he was attractive regardless. Though, his feelings had grown for him after a couple of years had gone by.

     He looked at the snow deep in thought, but he wasn't sure if he'd ever see the blond again.
