The day before feast day, a lot of us girls decided to go out.

Naoko: “Juni, chill.”

Juniper: “But I just know I did bad!”

Alivia: “All the more reason to drink, right?  Just juice it up!”

Juniper: “I guess that’s a good point.”

Naoko: “That is a bad point, don’t go see your family hungover!”

Pixie: “Yeah, a hangover and two screaming toddlers probably aren’t gonna mix well for me.”

Alivia: “We appreciate the sacrifice of you being the sober friend.”

Naoko: “She’s also under age, Alivia!  As are most of us!”

So, my first day at college, as a for real adult, was pretty much everything I’d hoped.  My dormmates were all friendly, and I met someone who I never expected...

Naoko: “Sup, nerd.  I’m Naoko, anyone calls me anything different, they’re a liar.  I’ve got the other bed in your room.  Welcome to art school.”

Pixie: “It’s very nice to meet you!  I’m Pixie Glenn.  You look so cool.”

Pixie: “Roxy, I appreciate what you think you’re doing, but I need you to listen to me!”

Naoko: “I-”

Pixie: “No, shut up!  I realize what this must’ve looked like outside of it, but Berrydammit, I am so fudging done with everyone thinking they know best because I’m tiny and cute!  So you are going to listen!”

Naoko: “If you think for one minute I’m going to let you get away with this-”

Knight: “There’s nothing happening, and you’ll have wasted-”

Pixie: “I’m not that bad.”

Naoko: “Pixiepuff, I don’t think I’ve seen you talk to anyone you don’t live near or with.  You don’t know how to slow down, and you’re gonna burn out.  Just, like, learn to relax and talk to other people.”

Pixie: “...And that’s the short version of why my Grandfather literally wants to eat me.”

Knight: “Well summarized, but he just wants your blood, not your flesh.  Probably.”

Pixie: “Drink me, then.”

Naoko: “Slow down, I’m still processing magic’s supposedly real, let alone fairies that eat people.”

Knight: “She hears well for someone out of the loop.”

Pixie: “I know it sounds crazy, but magic’s a lot more common than people think.”

Pixie: “I already told you my Grandfather wants me dead!  Professor Knight is helping make sure he doesn’t actually manage to kill me!  We came out here for lessons!”

Naoko: “O-okay.”

Knight: *chuckles*

Pixie: “And YOU!”
