Of course, we do not know the extent of what Andrew told them to do. Her being Jade’s child and the name? or more of the situation that we got in Homestuck^2? We don’t know. But I feel like there were a lot of unpalatable and frankly, kinda gross stuff in the main comic, (Hussie’s self insert hitting on Vriska, a child, being the most egregious, fucked up and gross, but there are smaller things as well “So Caucasian”) but people usually just igored it because it was Hussie, or critisised it and stuck with the main comic for its good parts. With new writers, when distasteful stuff happens, people can easily say “Hussie would never” until they realize Hussie would.
I’m saying this more about Homestuck^2 btw, I do not know what the Epilogue writers were thinking. I just take the parts that I like and ignore the rest, like I did with the original comic.
