Sunset station, you and Roxas sat at the bench looking at the sun setting. The oranges, yellows and pops of pink lighting the sky, "your hair color is kinda like the sunset" you observe leaning into touch his hair, "Really?" he asked looking at the strands of hair covering his eyes.
His fingers grabbing his bangs and analyzing the color, "hm, I guess so?"
"It's a pretty color" you smile looking back at the sun, you both went quiet again. Hearing the bell of the train and its exhuast, the small chattering of the locals, your eyes go to Roxas as he munches on the ice cream.
"You ever think about what you'll do after high-school?"
"Huh?" he's caught off guard by the "philosophical" question "uhm, not really... I mean its summer break" he added humming.
"Still we gotta choose soon"
Roxas looked at the setting sun in thought, his popsicle against pouting lips. "I guess an astronaut, I wanna see what's beyond Twilight Town" he replied reaching for the sky.
"Olette said she wanted to try accounting, pence wants something with computers, and hayner probably just wants to screw around" you said in thought thinking about all your peers, the adventures you've had. But now it'll just be a fleeting memory, everyone will move on, grow up and live their lives.
"You?" he tilted his head looking towards you. He brought you out of the trance. "My dream?" you ask pointing at yourself, then thinking until your cheeks turned pink.
"Oh, its a stupid dream."
His pout deepened, "I told you my half assed dream tell me yours!" he huffed out moving in closer.
"it's a really dumb dream Roxas" he groaned shoving his ice cream into his mouth and falling dramatically onto the ground. "Don't need to be extra about it"
"No dreams are stupid, there's a need for everyone in every job. Don't let the grown ups at school tell you its dumb, or useless. Or even everyone else, follow your heart. We need more color in the world" he said looking into your eyes, "I-I wanna write" you got out shyly.
His eyes lit up "I've always liked your writing, it feels alive. It's not stupid at all, I feel like you can really make it!" he smiled, a real smile. "When we're older wanna write about my adventures as an astronaut?"
"yeah, I'd like that Roxas"

in terms of love languages, I feel like his would be quality time. most of his time is spent with his friends, the people he cares about. so of course this would be the thing he flocks to!!
he loves spending time with you—in his eyes, getting to be beside you, eating ice cream on the clock tower and watching the sunset is enough to make his newly grown heart melt already!!
he definitely writes about you in his diary. I mean, he’s supposed to write about his day in there…or at least the important things about his day. considering you’re his partner…he’d consider you pretty important.
the downside to writing down his feelings about you is that he has to be extra extra careful to hide his diary from everyone else. (axel and xion…)
if they ever happened to glance at a mistakenly opened page which might’ve mentioned you…a lot, they’d have to take matters into their own hands. or, in other words, tease him relentlessly about how much he loves you.
but, can you blame them? the poor kid is head over heels for you…it’s just too cute!!

**Rainy Day - Roxas x Reader Ficlet**

“It’s gonna be one of those days, huh?”
Roxas’ question brought your attention away from the window. He sat down beside you on the couch and leaned his head in his hand, joining you in watching the growing storm outside. You smirked, but it fell a moment later. Today was the first day in a while that you were finally getting a day off together. You hadn’t mentioned it to Roxas, but you’d been hoping for a Struggle match or two, a trip to the Terrace, and maybe even the beach. Of course, not all of that could have been done in a single day, but now none of it could. As if to punctuate the thought, thunder growled outside.
“It seems like it,” you replied, a sigh leaving you. “So much for a fun day out.”
“Ah don’t be like that, there’s still lots we can do.” He nudged your shoulder, that soft smile across his face that wore away at the disappointment in your chest.
“Don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t exactly want to sit through you beating me at video-games all day… again,” you admitted and Roxas laughed, cracking a smile across your face too.
“It’s not my fault you’re a sore loser,” he quipped in reply, flopping onto his back on the couch. He hummed in thought, staring at the ceiling.
You watched him for a moment before turning your attention back outside. Water rushed down the cobbled streets. You spotted the occasional person running with their coat pulled over their head, trying to escape the storm. It was only getting stronger.
“Aha!” Roxas snapped his fingers and scrambled off the couch. He went into the kitchen and you heard him rummaging through the cupboards.
“Do I wanna know?” you asked with a chuckle in your voice.
“Two words,” Roxas peeked his head out from around the corner. “Movie. Marathon.” He disappeared into the kitchen again and you heard the microwave whirring to life. “There’s that trilogy Pence has been begging us to watch!”
You had to admit, the idea sounded fun. “Then you’re in the kitchen because…?”
“I’m making the popcorn!” he defended himself and you laughed.
“Ok, ok, movie date it is,” you agreed. “I’ll go grab the blankets.”
“Grab all of them!” Roxas called after you. “The more the better.”
“On it!” you called back.
The smell of popcorn filled the house and within a few minutes, the living room was covered with fluffy blankets and pillows. You dimmed the lights and Roxas set up the first movie, then both of you settled into your cozy nest. Roxas handed you an overflowing bowl of popcorn and the two of you shared it, sitting side by side.
Rain continued to pour outside, followed by the occasional roll of thunder. You hardly noticed the sound, especially whenever Roxas laughed. Maybe you didn’t need a day out on the town to have a special time with him. This was more than enough.

and like, he started getting all stuttery and saying that he isn't worth being all connected to you and stuff

once he put that thing away, you finally told him
and let me tell you, he was BAFFLED
at first, he laughed at you, thinking that you were joking
and once you told him that you weren't, he went silent
and then got a little teary
he quickly wiped said tears though and just looked at you, tilting his head and asking, "you really want our hearts to be connected, y/n? even if I don't have one?"
you just told him, "everyone has a heart, Axel. Even you."

you wanted to share the fruit with him so bad, but you wanted to tell him the conditions first
when you did, he agreed SO FAST
he wants to be there to protect you and be there for you your whole life, so to have a destiny that goes hand in hand is a dream come true
he wants to go through everything with you and eating that fruit in the sunset was amazing for you two
Terra
you and him have talked about the fruit before, you've explained it to him and the two of you have even joked about sharing one
but once you actually got one and showed Terra, the man was BLUSHING
"you really wanna do this y/n?"
"of course I do, dummy! what? you don't wanna do it or something?"
"n-no! it's not like that I just... are you sure?"
of course you were sure, so you cut that thing in half and handed it to him
he was hesitant, as he didn't want you getting involved in anything dangerous in the future, but you were so sure that you wanted to share this life with him and he was more than grateful <3

when i tell you that you got this man BLUSHING
he wanted to share the fruit with Kairi YEARS AGO, but it never worked out because it was meant for her and Sora, so when you offered to share it with him after everything that had happened in the events of KH2, he couldn't believe you
of course he agreed though, you two had been through so much and you fought so hard that he knew that it was perfect that you two were to share this fruit
it was also perfect because you were back on Destiny Islands smiling and having the time of your life <3
