Please go and see this beautiful Kingdom Hearts 3 illustration by Rouwan. It's not just beautiful, it's amazing, stunning, and not just for a single element, but all of them.
Just by giving a quick look one can feel the time and the passion spent on it, but when stopping and taking it slow to appreciate at full, one gets to notices the little details, the subtle designs of the background and the textures. The composition uses a lot of opposites that don't contrast but instead compliment each other, which, I think, merged well with the embracing movement of the water.
Lastly, the light on Sora's figure that gently welcome and outline is figure. In this case too, it is clear the difference in the colors brightness between the sea part and the rest of the illustration but neither of the two prevails on the other.
I think what's more amazing of this picture is that there are many point of focus, but not one tries to steal the spotlight: from which ever part one chooses to start, the eyes will be gently lead along to all of the rest. Stop a bit on each section and then continue until the journey ends, and invites to look at and take in the whole illustration again.
