April 27, 2025 - Anarchist activists stormed into an office in the Athens suburb of Kallithea, overturning desks, ripping down company materials, and confronting Iraklis Bamzas, owner of Hellas Line - VresNet, after he had fired at least two workers for becoming pregnant, an act illegal under Greek labor law but rarely punished.
In footage released by the anarchist collective Rouvikonas, activists confront Bamzas directly, saying that there are many reports of him firing pregnant workers, and promising him worse if he doesn't start obeying the labor laws protecting workers.
Worker's protections are worthless if they are not enforced, so sometimes you have to go visit a company owner in person if the state isn't interested in doing its job. [video]
