Before the break from my long-time hood, I rolled what scenario I would do, but I decided to reroll, as I wasn't even sure what family it was supposed to apply to. Of course, it rerolled to death...
I listed all my teens, adults and elders and randomly decided which one would die. It turned out to be Baset, an elder. I love her but she is old.
As we know the Bruni family are not very resistant to the cold (and Baset is part of the Bruni dynasty). After her passing, Sampsa started a monologue while holding a skull next to her grave.
Toddler Lucilia hit the rock bottom aspiration during the 'funeral'. Before granny Baset passed away, she had taught her granddaughter to talk so that Lucilia would remember her.
Lucilia's mother, Polla, taught her to walk. Sadly, she lost interest in teaching her daughter afterwards. I can't blame her for it. She was ill, and then her Moon Cycle started. She also got pick pocketed at the public bath house before she managed to get her Logic skill up. How embarrassing for a Knowledge sim...
Lucilia was taught all her toddler skills and she aged up at the very end of the round. Silvanus will grow up at the very beginning of the next round.
Jonah (the zombie) maxed out his magic level, but he hasn't been focusing on just one 'school' of magic. To his creator's disappointment, Jonah hasn't learnt much about the 'dark arts' yet... So how did Sampsa convince Jonah to switch to 'the dark side'? Well, that's simple... as simple as sitting on the Claws of Darkness Throne when you're not an evil warlock. That's a very convincing experience.
Sampsa took Jonah to the magic lot, to introduce him to the grand witch. It seems the zombie has a crush on the head witch. Sampsa doesn't think anyone compares to Baset, the love of his life, so he isn't pursuing the affair with the head witch anymore.
At long last, Sampsa maxed out Logic. He maxed out Games (his one true hobby) ages ago. He finished working on Creativity as well. In total he has maxed out 4 skills (together with Mechanical and Charisma). That makes him a moderately successful Knowledge sim, especially that he's also a supernatural.
Wolves haven't been walking by my lots recently. Maybe they don't like the wintry cold. I added a few more days to the dogs' lives. I know it's not realistic for dogs to live for so long, but I don't like being rushed with breeding the animals all the time.
The Imagos earned only ~540$, which included Sampsa's retirement pensions and Tullus's paychecks. Tullus got promoted to the top of his teen career, but that only increased his pay from 25$ to 31$, and it got him a one-time bonus of 62$. Polla also lost 150$ to the Unsavory Charlatan, falling for his trickery.
They paid 3100$ and they won't have enough to pay next round. I am considering opening a magic store for this family, but they would need to rely on the zombie to supply all the goods.
PS I am NOT looking forward to rolling for men's mortality after the war, at the end of this round.
