Pyrite - Steel/Water - The original material of this Helix Fossil has been replaced with iron sulfide, more commonly known as “fool’s gold”, giving this Omanyte a golden shell as hard as steel. Helix Fossils of this variant are often sold as real gold, and revived Omanytes are targets of Team Rocket members who want to sell their golden shell for a profit.

Opal - Fairy/Water - This Helix Fossil has opalized and their shells are coverted as jewelry. Omanytes of this fossil are smaller than their typical relatives and can control the water trapped within their shell, changing the shimmer and transparency to confuse foes. They love collecting Heart Scales.

Quartz - Ghost/Water - Ghost DNA was used to replace the missing material lost to the quartz-lined crater in the fossil. Quartz Omanytes are a bit larger than their cousins, but are shyer and more fragile - they generally perfer to hide within their shells or in dark waters. However, they can become little pranksters once their trust is gained.
