Oxynotus centrina
Angular Roughsharks are deep water sharks with triangular shaped bodies covered in rough skin. They mainly feed on benthic invertebrates.
They carry a pair of dorsal spines with the first being angled forward. Very large spiracles behind the eyes can help distinguish these Roughsharks from the other species.
These sharks are endangered due to being caught as bycatch. They offer no commercial value and are rumored to bring bad luck. Unfortunately, no sharks survive being released.
