Knight stares at the box. His time in Swapfell had taught him what this material was. He’d thought it was facinating at the time… But that was before his latest round of ‘Upgrades’. Jack had highlighted a number of Knight’s failings. They had decided to fix that. Make him stronger, with some new skills. And to throw some delicious irony in there. A smile that literally went from ear to ear spread across his face uncertainly. Knight climbs into the box and begins batting at the peanuts playfully.

Maxwell nudges the box with his toe and sighs. Yet another thing in this damnable place he couldn’t reach. It’ll probably just stay there.

Mother Death (Alysia) chuckles and picks up a tub of voltgoat-hoof-glue. She was going to use the styrofoam for a sculpture. She’d chuck the box at Knight later. Let the court cat have something to sit in.

Minty is baffled by the styrofoam. He pours it into a draw to use later when he figured something out. The box would be useful as a portable tentacle biome.

Pupson ponders it for a while… He wraps the styrofoam in fabric and pads it with beefalo fur. This would do nicely as bedding for Alexis. After he pulls her out of her own box before she eats any. Seriously anon. Don’t give a literal baby styrofoam.

Red takes a sample of the styrofoam for scienticic analysis… And dyes the rest confetti colours. Red now has a box of brightly coloured styrofoam peanuts to throw in the air when he’s excited and Alexis isn’t around. What have you done, anon?

WX78 pours the styrofoam into Rough’s box and uses theirs for storage.

Pupson looks at this ask with horror. “How dare you… How dare you! You can’t ask me to choose! You can’t!”

He continues ranting, repeating himself frequently. In his mind he tries to test whether he could choose, if he had to. War breaks out in his mind. Neither side can make much ground. Yes, WX was without empathy but he could never betray them. There was more to the robot then that. And Rough, oh he hadn’t known him long but the precious child had made such an impression on him.

His ability to speak breaks down as emotion begins to surface. Why did he let himself get so worked up about this? It was just a question. Too late. He’d already started to cry. The children were his pack… He was mentally incapable of choosing and even the thought was deeply distressing.

Rough laughs delightedly when they see the balloons. Pretty bright colours!

Hound Wilson isn’t so pleased. He’s the only member of the pack that can safely traverse the floating objects and get them out. He thinks it’s funny but He’d rather his pack remained unharmed. It takes a while but the balloons are safely ushered out. Well, most of them. He left the ones tied to hounds for the sake of amusement.

A bird lands next to them and turns into Rough. They bounce excitedly on their feet as WX-78 marches over.

Rough noticed their body language and stopped bouncing.
