You’ve most definitely been asked this before but, how do you study? My severe adhd and other mental illnesses make it so hard but I eventually wanna work in the psych field! But I’m so scared to start, what if I fail due to these issues?? How do I fix it?
That’s OK. I’m not an expert in studying with ADH, or in studying, really. But I can try to help?I think it’s useful to break up learning into chunks. The first thing to do is to get a hold of the syllabus for the year, or the module. once you’ve got that, you divide it into chunks; it could be themes, could be organs, however things seem to divide up in your course. That means that you can do a little bit at a time. I’d suggest doing a little bit every day or so. Again, break it up into chunks; maybe work for 30mins or so at a time and take regular breaks. I hear the pomodoro method is like that.I used to change my timetable around depending on what I felt I could cope with on that given day; all the stuff needs to be covered, but you don’t need to cover the hardest stuff on a bad day. I’m sure that some medblrs with ADHD might be able to give more useful tips, though.
