I had the Honor to participate to the 3rd edition of our beloved “Mystery show” with Rotopol Press, called “The Inventor’s Collection”.
The concept is that every Illustrator participating is sent a secret box containing objects that should inspire his illustration.

„RÖHNER FÜHLT SICH HIER WIE ZUHAUSE. ICH HABE IHN NICHT DAZU AUFGEFORDERT.“ Aber wir haben Max Baitinger dazu aufgefordert eine Ausstellung mit Originalseiten aus seinem im März bei Rotopol erscheinenden Buch “Röhner” bei uns zu machen! Max fühlt sich hoffentlich wie zu Hause, denn er ist Mitorganisator des Millionaires Club. Ausserdem wird er am Sonntag (20.3. / 15 Uhr) bei uns aus “Röhner” lesen! Heimspiel! Juhu!!
P. führt ein Eremitenleben in zweckmäßiger Symbiose mit seiner geschäftigen Nachbarin. Von der Zubereitung des Kaffees bis zur Pflege der Zimmerpflanzen läuft alles im Takt. Mit dem überraschenden Eintreffen Röhners – einer alten Bekanntschaft – ändert sich dieser Rhythmus. Während Röhner zur psychotischen Zumutung wird, spielt P. im Geiste verschiedene Szenarien durch, wie er den ungeliebten Gast loswerden könnte.
Erst als Röhner beginnt, eine innige Beziehung zur Nachbarin aufzubauen, befreit sich P. aus seinen Gedankenschleifen und ergreift Maßnahmen. ------------------------- Max Baitinger wurde 1982 in Penzberg, Oberbayern geboren. Er zeichnet Comics seit seiner Schreinerausbildung. Danach studierte er Illustration an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig. Er arbeitet als freischaffender Grafiker an Comics, Illustrationen und Animationsfilmen.

Debuting at TCAF 2016 - Panic Totem by Nadine Redlich

Nadine Redlich is a cartoonist from Duesseldorf, Germany. After her tension relieving books Ambient Comics and Ambient Comics II her master(stress)piece PANIC TOTEM will be released by Rotopol at TCAF 2016. It’s an accumulation of cartoons and comics addressing the colourful spectrum of emotional stress.
