THE RESULTS ARE IN AND DISTRICT 3860 HAS BEEN AWARDED AS ONE OF THE TOP THREE DISTRICTS WITH THE BEST PUBLIC IMAGE CAMPAIGNS/PROJECTS DURING ROTARY YEAR 2016-2017 Last Rotary Year, Immediate Past District Governor Mary Anne Alcordo-Solomon pushed the “ONE ROTARY. ONE DISTRICT. ONE ACTIVITY.” initiative wherein all clubs in the district will simultaneously conduct specific activities during the months of July, August, September, October and January. We had 5 activities/advocacies done at the same time: • July - One Rotary. One District. One Grand bloodletting. • August - Tri to End Polio, a side event of the IronMan challenge which raised money for the Rotary Polio Fund. During this time, the End Polio singlets were introduced • September - One Rotary. One District. One Mangrove Planting & Coastal Clean up • October - Pink October (Breast Cancer Awareness) • January - Special Children/Angels’ Walk for Autism The District also did the following Public Image Initiative: • Common Facebook profile picture with the templates: * “I am a Rotarian and I will make a difference in service to humanity.” * “This Close to Ending Polio” • Shingles Awareness GOOD WORK ROTARIANS!
