     ❛     what can I say ... I expect very little in order to avoid disappointment and feel more surprised when things go well.     ❜     eyes rolling, though her cookies didn’t smell half bad at least. that wasn’t good enough for him to assume they’d taste that great.     ❛     besides, looks can only get you so far. you’d know about that~     ❜      lips curved into a smirk, he’s quick to pluck a cookie from the pan and retreat a few steps away.

She is not good with handling rejecting in small nor large ways, though she does seem good at not showing in public; for the most part anyway. Most of the time she seems to be confused as if why she be rejected, making her wonder if she did something wrong or isn’t like. Asking what she did wrongor trying to show her worth. A lot of her confusion of it do come from her own age as well, no matter how mature she may be able to behave.

Though her attitude of being able to cover it probably is due to not wanting cause scenes. Yet once she feel like she feel safe to show how she feel, she might scream and cry; release her insecurities and how hurt she feels to her mother or father (whom ever she’s staying with at the moment).

This strange negative impact of rejection yet somewhat calm way of presenting herself in public have to due to being a celebrity’s child and a child performer at that. As a celebrity’s child, she is use to getting what she wants and even her own parents will admit have been spoiled too much; only recently both have started telling her ‘no’. When it’s her own parents that delivers the rejection to her, she gets very troubled and is likely to cry.

Yet as a child actor she have to be use to being rejected or she won’t grow to be a mature performer (that is if she wants to continue being one). It does not help that her mother is a very acclaimed, famous performer and (though adopted) everyone around expects her to follow though footsteps except her dad, which even at five years old she always felt that pressure. So when she don’t get that kid part in a commercial or win Little Miss Whatever pageant, it hurts her A LOT. 

The sight of her best friend, her confidant, the person she has grown immensely attached to, is already enough to draw a smile she dares to show only when Aria is around —coy, flustered, secretive even; but then her eyes set on the flowers glowing on her hands in all their glory, noticing how they tint her skin and her heart drops, following the gravity. 

Oh, she feels like she’s being courted, but this time, rather than accept whatever gift she’s presented with out of courtesy, she gladly takes the flowers and lets her fingertips trace the softness within the petals, admiring their beauty.It dawns on her the possible and most likely reason as to why the mistress is being gifted with so many wonders, hence the way her cheeks are colored bright red in a matter of seconds whilst her eyes flutter. 

❝A-aria… I’m—❞ Speechless. Unsure of how to explain the warmth in her heart and the happiness that is about to burst out from her chest. Somehow she manages to raise a voice that shakes in nervousness, and the next moment, maids are rushing to their aid with the boxes on their arms, complimenting the bluenette on how kind and considerate she’s being towards the lady whose birthday has been celebrated since the break of dawn.
