At least he managed to enforce a rule that it had to be someone around his age and preferably a girl, which was his way of making his keeper’s task as hard as possible. Unfortunately, grandma Bing was as bad as he was as she managed. Now, he was staring into the stranger’s eyes quite unhappy that his days of freedom were to come to an end. “Okay, uh... Scanning the room one last time, he double checks for any prying eyes before slipping out the entrance and into the hallway where he heads for the garden. A place he liked to frequent when he had too much on his mind. He steps out into the night, welcoming the fresh air that is cool against his skin. Welcoming the silence that, in contrast with the constant plethora of noises inside, was like a breath of air after holding your breath under water for too long. His senses finally at peace as he walks along the elegantly designed path through the neatly groomed garden. Only coming to a pause when he thinks he hears something behind him. Turning, Jinyoung scans the path to no avail before speaking. “Is anyone there?”

“Also you’re so badass that your height is absolutely unimportant.” Having said that he realised that while she was his bodyguard she was first and foremost a girl and that those words were perhaps not the best. “And you’re also really pretty and smart so that’s probably what most people are gonna focus on, I think.”

“let’s talk about it, then,” micha folded her hands on her lap, eyes fixated on the other. “are you going to tell me why on earth you’ve decided to sneak in my backyard, in the middle of the night, and manage to break one of my favorite flower vases?”

taewon sighed as he entered his apartment, his arm wrapped around a very drunk ahri. he didn’t know why she’d chosen to specifically call him, since while they had remained friendly after their breakup, they weren’t exactly the best of friends. yet, he was somehow still her emergency contact. “do you feel like throwing up? do you want some water or something?” he offered as he helped her get on his couch, hoping she wouldn’t do anything stupid.

The young man looked at her, his stare moving from her to his phone where almost forty calls were still lighting up his screen. In a way, he was fascinated with how she even managed to do that in such a short time but he knew it was best not to ask her that question. He’d definitely get hit in the head. He could feel her worry oozing almost visibly from every pore on her skin. He smiled softly and let his arm rest on the girl’s shoulder, lightly patting her body. “I’m sorry, okay? I had to stand and tie up my shoelaces and then my glasses fell out my pocket and then tissues followed and honestly I was just a bit of a public mess and before I got myself together I was already late so I ran here which is why I didn’t see you calling.” He explained himself as best he could. “You know, next time, you can go with me when I have one of these stupid blind dates. I’m sure that every girl that’ll have to sit in front of me and you glaring at her for the entirety of the meal will know that there’s absolutely zero hopes of ever getting with me. And it’ll definitely help with you not worrying, yes?” He grinned childishly, like a brat that just told the funniest little joke.
