I’ve briefly mentioned some of this before but here are some thoughts on Emmett and music:
He isn’t all that interested in learning an instrument. The only instruments he knows how to play are the triangle and a harmonica
Both of which he only learned for the purpose of pestering Edward (it worked)
Some of his music taste is really good
He definitely got into Destiny’s Child at some point and was sad when the group split up
He’s also a Dolly Parton fan, for sure! And by association he listened to some (but not much) Billy Ray Cyrus
Some of his favorite music decades were the 70s, 90, and 2000s
But 30s music will always have a special place in his heart, not because of the music itself, but because it reminds him of his and Rosalie’s relationship starting
His favorite music genre is folk
But he also likes pop and certain country
I can also see him listening to a lot of David Bowie!
Emmett occasionally dabbles in some Janelle Monáe
He also listens to whatever Esme likes at the time (mainly because he’s such a mommas boy)
Along with the rest of the Cullens (besides Edward 🙄), he really likes ABBA
He also unironically loves the Shrek The Musical soundtrack
