People typically avoid eye contact with Elijah Murphy if they see him walking down the street. He used to purposefully try to get arrested for underage drinking and theft as a teenager. It wasn’t ever malicious, he just was bored and wanted to get his father’s attention. His father, who usually ignored his son otherwise.

Daniel Murphy was a detective when Elijah was growing up. His job costed him his marriage and Elijah might as well raised himself. He wished countless times that his mother would have taken him with her instead of abandoning him. 

He’s not entirely sure, Elijah’s pretty positive that his father was on the team that investigated the original murders in the 70′s. His dad will never talk about them, shutting down completely if Elijah tries to bring them up. 

He didn’t personally know the victims but he would always see Hannah in passing and even saw her the day before her death, he didn’t think anything of it though.
