When you posted your list of which Carapace/Leprechaun characters were the parents of which kid/troll, I noticed you had Die for Rose. How would Die fare as being a father to her?
I see the earliest years of the felt kids being raised by more than one person- not in a couples way, in more of an “it takes a village” way. Die would be poorly equipped to handle a young baby and toddler, but once Rose was old enough, maybe 5? he’d become much more competent now that she can take care of herself and doesn’t rely on him for eating and drinking and being clean
rose grows up even more goth than she did with Mom Lalonde, and has a better relationship with Die than she would’ve her mother because while he’s very anxious and scatterbrained, and does have work to do, he’s present and cares about her. she’s very interested in the horrorterrors he studies obsessively also, they’d share eldritchian interests, morbid curiosity, and Rose would be encouraged and supported n all of her intellectual and creative pursuits
