whenever someone denies the clear sapphic subtext between rose and sarah in upstairs, downstairs (yes, including jean marsh) I’m pulling this scene out
I mean the direct comparison in feelings between Sarah’s current love interest and Rose? The way Rose immediately gets defensive, and presses for more?
And to make matters worse, the way Rose is sat devastated outside Thomas’s room when he and Sarah sleep together at the end of the episode?
God this show is really quite problematic but these two have me in such a chokehold I can’t stop watching :,)
