Wish we got to see them more🥲

Kiddo me was SO salty that the big awesome black & purple book dragon wasn't befriendable and that the white-haired magical prettyboy wouldn't join the crew and she spent years being quietly bitter about it all the while respecting and understanding the moral of the episode and the importance of it for young introverted geeky fantasy-obsessed teenage girls like me yadda yadda yadd- THEY FUCKING ROBBED ME OF A BOOKWYRM IN MY FAVOURITE CARTOON!!!

Long story short, sometime last year I realised that I'm a writer and artist and can do whatever the fuck I want with these characters, including fanfic, art, AUs, and making Malchior and Rorek twins before Mal girlbossed too close to the sun with the dark magic and turned himself into a dragon - both for the drama and so that they can both be this pretty when he's not wearing scales.

So yeah. If you like what I've cooked, take comfort in knowing that I've made more, I have more marinating in my head (two decades' worth of repressed brainrot) and if I manage to wrangle my executive dysfunction into compliance, there might be more of it hitting the relevant TT tags at one point or another.

Yu Gi Oh ass characters

on a more serious note I did for REAL love their designs and there is so much you can do with them. I especially love the professional rage baiter x professionally rage baited dynamic myself. (they're so Flins and Rerir to me)

I never put a TON of thought into them the way I did hive characters (there were only so many brain cells available) but I did always like the idea that they were either brothers who strayed to different paths or scorned lovers of some kind (because I just liked the twist on the knight/dragon trope. and the old man yaoi is fun it introduces a lot of self loathing which manifests as resentment for Rorek and it opens a lot of other doors as well).

But yeah fr there are SO many places you could take them. I think I especially like the idea that either A) they are both trapped in the book somehow, Malchior will never know peace, or B) Malchior is trapped in the book and Rorek is still functioning as some immortal inter-dimensional being (in a Dr. Fate kind of way). Mostly because I like the idea of these two extremely out of date beings suddenly being forced into present day. I love -old man confidently trying to navigate present day- tropes it's always very funny to me. (Raven: ok ok you can do this you CAN navigate a city I believe in you. Just take a left on that crosswalk past the tower- Malchior: he doesn't know what a crosswalk is. Rorek: I do not know what a crosswalk is :) )

The character Malchior/Rorek from Teen Titans is a hidden gem in character design, not gonna lie.

I kinda wish there was some way he could return to the DC Universe in some shape or form, like how Neil Gaiman can revive a forgotten golden age character like Prez for a single chapter in an extended story.

There was no time to slow down and think it out. As she pounded across the pasture, Holli’s mind churned like a water wheel. There was no way one person could keep the herd grounded if there were juvenile lightning fish about. Those buggers were fast, and could take a chunk out of a peg as quick as thinking, even if it was land-bound. The herd would panic at the first dive and it would all be over. 

"Rorek!" 

"Yeah, I see 'em!" Rorek panted, already out of breath. Running like this had to be painful with all those bruises, not to mention that busted arm. He'd been thrown a few days back, and there was no way he would be flying again soon. And that meant they needed another body on the ground—or rather, in the air. 

"We need a pilot in the air ten minutes ago," she hollered over her shoulder. "Get one of the lads airborne with a whistle or we'll lose the whole herd!" 

"The hands are down in the west pasture," Rorek bellowed back, and she caught a glimpse of his flushed face as he struggled to keep up with her. "Let me be your whistler." 

"Not with that arm, you don't." They were nearly on the herd now, and Holli didn't have time to argue. They would just have to figure something out.

I mean, sure, I like white hair aesthetically. It pleases my eyes.

And okay, so MAYBE I like hearing British Accents.

But there are plenty of other white-haired cuties in anime that I simply haven’t cared about.

And that’s just it.

I have no REASON to care about them. Let alone, want to get to know them... let alone, develope a crush.

I guess you could say, every crush I have has started as a “squish”.
