Recently, I went back to play Deemo ll and listened to the song "Be Alive" again. As I looked at the lyrics, it reminds me of Beelzebub and Lilith.
Timeline: When they just started to research Satan.
It is a very short fanfic that came to my mind, so it is not as complete as it seems. I just want to throw a song for this cute couple that couldn't be together for the rest of their life.
In a room filled with books and written papers, a black-haired young man tossed and turned on a piece of clean white bed sheet, with eyebrows deeply frowned.
……
"No, PLEASE SSSTTOOOPPPPP!!!!"
His limbs were tied up by dark-colored tentacles, he could only watch his friends being tortured to death at the hands of Satan. Their thick, gooey blood oozed out like fountains flowing down between the gaps of Satan's fingers.
……
"AAAAHHHH!!! Ha…Ha…"
There it goes again, the same nightmare. The miserable screams and shrill cries from Lucifer, Samael, and Azazel resonated in Beelzebub's mind. Every time Beelzebub goes to sleep, the same nightmare would haunt him again and again.
"Beelzebub, are you alright?" Lilith rushed to Beelzebub's room as she heard his scream. Looking at the young man covered with cold sweat, face filled with terror as he tightly gripped onto his blanket, the Goddess walked towards the young man, took out a handkerchief, bent down, and gently wiped off the sweat on his forehead.
"The same nightmare again?"
"Yeah."
Remorse, guilt, regret…… Every single day, Beelzebub has to live on with all the pressure on his shoulders. As there is no progress in Satan's research, his guilt piled up. Lilith pondered as she wiped off Beelzebub's sweat…
"Let's go out for a walk."
"But, the research…"
"This is an order! Let's go! This instant!"
The order came down and Beelzebub could only simply tidy himself up, put on his black coat, and left the house with Lilith.

Walking through the streets bustling with people (or should I say Gods?) and walking out from the crowd. As time passed by, they walked into the woods. The sound of the noisy crowd was replaced by insects singing.
On this long night, Beelzebub and Lilith strolled in the woods that seems to have no end, none of them spoke a single word, they were just chillingly strolling.
"不思議なほどに 静かな世界" (The tranquil world is full of wonder)
"Why are you singing out of the blue?"
"Because I want to express my emotion."
"鳥のさえずり だけが 聞こえて来るよ" (Even a birdsong can touch one's heart)

Right after she finished singing, they reached a lawn. Lilith randomly picked a tree and sat down, her back lying on the trunk of the tree. Beelzebub sat on the other side of the same tree, back facing Lilith.
"How about you give it a try? Spending all day in the house is not good either."
"To express my emotions, huh?" Beelzebub went silent for a while, and took a deep breath:
"都会の空気は 今も慣れないな" (Up till now I am still not used to the air in this city)
"夜明けを迎える 青白い空を見ていた" (I wait and watch the dusk cover the pale sky)
Up till today, whenever Beelzebub walked down the streets, no one wants to interact with an unfortunate man who carries Satan's curse on his shoulder, he could only live on alone.
"星々が 過ぎ去った朝は" (When the Sun rises and the stars are gone)
"私には 眩しすぎて" (It is too dazzling for my eyes)
Lucifer and friends were like the most dazzling stars shining brightly in the dark sky, they let Beelzebub have a taste of "Friendship" and "Love". Just as he was immersed in the joy brought by his friends, he lost them in one night's time.
"消えてしまいたくなっても" (Even if I wish I could die)
"それでも 生きていくから" (I will still be alive)
How he wished that he was the one taken away by Satan, but luck was not by his side, his beloved friends were taken away. Beelzebub's life returned to the beginning where he is all alone, but this time he has a goal: Find Satan, and Kill him.
"太陽は 僕が見たことのない（景色を）" (The Sun must've seen a lot of sceneries)
"沢山巡ってきたんだね" (That I have never seen before)
Beelzebub laid down his head, how much he wished that he could go back to the time when he was playing with his friends, but the image of their chest being stabbed could never be erased away.
Beelzebub went into deep remorse: Why is my curse affecting other people? Why are they the ones who left, not me?
Suddenly, Lilith's voice came from behind:
"悲しい顔は少しでも 笑顔になりそうですか" (Could your sad face change into a smile, for once)
The young man was surprised, his facial expression wasn't seen by her, yet she knew that his face was filled with guilt and regret.
"ねえ同じ空を見上げる" (To whom that watches the same sky as me)
"どこかの知らない君へ" (To whom I don’t know where you are)
"痛みは 消せないけれど" (Even though pain cannot be erased)
"それでも 生きてほしいから" (I want you to be alive)
Lilith then moved and sat beside Beelzebub, turned her head towards him, and said:
"I believe Lucifer would say the same thing, how about you?"
"Yeah, your right."
"I'm getting a bit hungry, let's grab some food as we walk back home." Lilith stood up and pat off the dirt on her dress, turned around, and pulled Beelzebub up.
