#rope?

Im a big hosie fan, but I think this theory I've been tossing and turning over is kind of cute.

You see, Landon and Hope will be the main ship this season. It'll be cute and shit, but he low-key turns out to be the villain due to the Malivore family thing. Making a parallel of instead of Hope being the Villain in his story like the end of the first episode it's actually him. So, the Avengers would have to kill him. Either through a action filled death (like Stefan's) or a slow episode (like Sheriff Forbes). Josie, Lizzie, and any other character couldn't do it because it wouldn't be as meaningful.

It'll end up between Hope and Rafael. Rafael would try, but he wouldn't be able to kill Landon because he cares too much. So, Hope makes herself look like the bad guy (like her father used) and is the one to kill him. And it cuts to a cliffhangerish.

Season 2 opens up with Landon's funeral with Hope doing a voiceover/letter to Klaus about it. She tells him about how she is grieving and feeling immense guilt. And how she is now isolated by everyone, she can't forgive herself and is sorry he can't find peace because she's still hasn't found it, and how she's shutting herself back up again. And that goes on for a better part of the fall season until the winter finale when Hope and Rafael have a heart to heart talk after so much build up and he ends up forgiving her. They cry it out in a heartbreaking episode. And at the end, they end up friends again. Then, the spring season is just Hope opening up more and focusing on herself and her friends for the remainder of the season. Ending with a letter to Klaus about how she'll be okay because she has good friends.

Hopefully, if there is a S3, it's about how Hope and Rafael are friends that start wanting to turn into something more, but there's angst because of Landon's ghost (not really just metaphorically). However, something happens (hopefully a TO OG is involved) and they somehow get past that and throughout the rest of the seasons they're a healthy relationship.

So, yeah a really good painful, but well written slowburn.
