{History}: In the lead up to the battle at Killerhead bridge he and his brothers sided with Gunmar, swayed by promises of never turning to stone and having limitless time on the surface. However he had a change of heart when Rootas saw his kind forced by magic to join his ranks if they declined. He blames himself for not being able to convince his brothers to join him and fight against Gunmar, which eventually lead to their deaths at Killerhead bridge. Their remains lay at rest beside their favourite lagoon as children. Feeling shame for being fooled by Gunmar’s promises and being unable to save his brothers Rootas keeps to himself, only speaking to other trolls when required. Many fear him knowing what he once was.

He chooses to live deep beneath the trees in a nearby wood, only surfacing to journey to the market and get food.

{Personality}: Rootas is curious but prefers to live alone, while usually fine with people smaller than himself he can be tense near other trolls. Underneath his rough and gruff attitude he is a big softie, especially towards younger creatures.
