22 La Ronde by Arthur Schnitzler dir by Mace Archer. Back to room 207 which means back in the closet! Except this time there were at least 10 of us back there at any time, because the whole concept of the play was 2 person scenes of rotating sexual partners until the circle completes itself and then two additional dancers. We would sit on chairs in the dark, someone would go out the stage left door as someone would come in the stage right door and we would all just move down a chair. The scenes were The Whore and the Soldier, The Soldier and the Parlor Maid, The Parlor Maid and the Young Gentleman, The Young Gentleman and the Young Wife, The Young Wife and The Husband, The Husband and the Little Miss, The Little Miss and the Poet, The Poet and the Actress, The Actress and the Count, The Count and the Whore. I was The Husband. Or as I like to think of him, The Hypocritical Scumbag. But that describes most of my characters. So I was batting right in the middle of the lineup. Jon D. Jenkins took the photos and he likes to call it “I can light that show with three instruments.” One night we were rehearsing the scene between the actress playing my wife and myself when we both found out that my Jo Boxer boxer shorts glowed in the dark. #retrospective #laronde #arthurschnitzler #thehusband #room207 #backinthecloset #isu #isutheatre #redbirdsflyinghigh #1992 #joboxer #glowinthedark (at Centennial West) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4mxGlrJ-hs/?igshid=16xt5fzrxk84c
