What's more important to Wynonna: Ending the curse, or saving Doc Holliday?

At Shorty's saloon, Wynonna falls prey to Doc's mysterious charm. But the Doc, ever full of surprises, rejects Wynonna's advances: burned and toasted. Meanwhile in the other side of town, the Deputy Mayor and his staff are holding an unveiling of the time capsule buried by famous poetess Shirley Dixon. A triad of Revenants are also in attendance, as one of them must retrieve Dixon's diary he left in that lockbox many moons ago. So when the Mayor hauls out the box from the ground, the Revenant rushes to grab it. And as if violating historical city property wasn't bad enough, the Revenants go about gutting the Deputy Mayor like a fish for blood sport.

Wynonna is tasked with a solo mission to take down the Revenant known as Red, who was complicit in the killing of her father. He's mingling at a club — if biting off women's fingers is the new mingling. Though Wynonna gets some blows in, and makes a huge scene, the handgun Deputy Marshall Dolls issues her is ineffective when it comes to Revenants, proving that only Peacemaker is of any good. The demons escape unscathed.

We left off with Haught's unmanned police cruiser cruising down a snowy road. It rolls up empty alongside Doc – a la Stephen King's Christine. Doc pokes around Haught's ride looking for clues, and he finds a big one: another playing card — the serial killer's mark! Meanwhile, Wynonna has landed in a hospital room after a brutal accident has temporarily deprived her the use of her legs. She's being presided over by none other than the weirdo doctor from the morgue. Wynonna is pretty sure he's actually a Revenant, named Jack, with a stethoscope using modern technology to try out his psychotic and antiquated experiments. He's the serial killer who's been removing and replacing organs, like he's playing a live game of Operation.
