Gossip Girl
Cornelia Vanderbilt ( x Emmett Collins )
It was no secret within the Vanderbilt family that William only loved one person. Not his grandsons, his legacies, his disappointments. Not his children, each more useless than the last. But his granddaughter. The light of his life, his perfect angel, Cornelia Vanderbilt would have everything she'd ever wanted. Except for the ability to choose her own husband. But Grandfather swore that Emmett was the best of them, as if he would choose anything less for her. Now Cornelia has to see if he really does live up to the hype.
Emmett Collins ( x Cornelia Vanderbilt )
Emmett Collins had always known that his marriage would be a matter of business, not love. And he was fine with that. All he really needed was friendship; he could find anything else on the side. He'd known that his marriage would look just like his parents', that his future wife would feel the same. He hadn't expected his fiancée to look at him with nothing but dread, to push constantly to try and figure out where the ground was under her feet, to seem almost afraid of the life laid out for her. Cornelia Vanderbilt was nothing like the wife he had expected – and maybe that's why he was falling in love.
Sutton van der Woodsen ( x Blair Waldorf )
With a sister like Serena, there was never any room for Sutton to exist anywhere other than in her shadow. The other van der Woodsen girl. Serena's sister. The tagalong. Never just Sutton. But with Serena gone to boarding school, suddenly there was an opening. The city needed its princess, Blair needed her bestie, and Sutton needed her chance. Soon she was ruling the city at Blair's side, turning the lights of New York City into her personal spotlight. She was on top of the world and it was everything she'd ever wanted. Until Serena, with no warning and absolutely no consideration for the life Sutton had built, decided to home home.
Glee
Penny Lovett
Penny Lovett loved her life. She loved her mom, she loved Carmel, she loved Vocal Adrenaline – even if Dakota Stanley was deeply insane. She loved her boyfriend Jesse, she loved her friends, and she had the rest of her high school career perfectly planned out. And then they move to Lima. Fine, she could adapt. She would join the Cheerios, and a new glee club meant they had to be looking for a star. Everything was coming up Penny. If only the director would stop looking at her like he was seeing a ghost.
Winona Lovett
If anyone asked Winona why she'd slept with Will Schuester, she would blame the stress of pre-med. Of course, it only got more stressful when she was pregnant, but Winona was nothing if not determined. She kept her baby, got her degree, and only had to compromise a few years' worth of sleep along the way. She had absolutely no regrets about her life. Until she accepted a new job offer, bringing her from Akron to Lima, where Penny joined a new glee club – run by a man that Winona had never planned to see again.
Descendants
JC ( Jason Castor ) Hook ( x Romi Fitzherbert)
Even on the Isle, everybody new about Romaine Fitzherbert, the lost daughter of Princess Rapunzel and Eugene Fitzherbert. Some said that she'd been stolen, but most people assumed that she had simply died. JC was part of the latter group. But when the royal couple went public, promising a grand reward to anyone who had information about their daughter, Harry came up with a plan. Fake the discovery of the lost princess, earn their reward, and get their crew off the Isle before anyone could realize it was all a lie. And that's where Romi Gothel came in.
Romi ( Romaine ) Fitzherbert ( x JC Hook)
Growing up on the Isle was terrible, anyone could tell you that, but Romi Gothel did her best to find the bright side. She wore pink instead of her mother's red, claiming that it made her happier. She made whatever potions she could under the barrier, baking with the few decent ingredients she could get from the barge, and she never, ever, thought about what her life could have been life if she were somewhere else. Still, when the Hook boys approach her, claiming that they believe that she is the lost princess of Corona, enough of Romi wants them to be right that she decides to join them on their quest of returning her to her supposed kingdom.
Shadowhunters
Cain Griffin
Cain Griffin remembered the Uprising. Remembered the horrors that Shadowhunters had unleashed upon his people. He did not forgive, and he did not forget. But when Magnus decides to befriend a group of Shadowhunters all the same, Cain knows that he will have to play nice – if only to make sure that they don't murder his dearest friend.
Cato ( Caleb Tobias ) Herondale
Cato Wayland liked to think of himself as far more responsible than his brother. Not quite as devoted to the law as Alec, but more respectful of it than Jace or Izzy liked to be. Respectful enough to know that a mysterious girl with some sort of connection to the mortal cup was not their secret to keep. But Jace was determined to help her himself, and Cato's loyalty would always put his family – the brother he'd been born with and the three siblings he'd chosen – above the Clave.
Theodora Ravenstern
The Lightwoods were hardly the only upstanding members of society to join Valentine. But where they'd survived and been assigned to lead an Institute, the Ravensterns had died, leaving their infant daughter to be shipped off to the Citadel and be raised by the Iron Sisters. It could have been worse. It could have been much worse. But Theo had always wanted more. She'd wanted to be a real Shadowhunter, to train at an Institute, to go on missions. So when Clary Fray and Isabelle Wayland show up, looking for information to help them fight Valentine, Theo knows it's her only chance.
Gilmore Girls
Ryan Forester
Ryan Forester loved Stars Hollow. It was just she and her dad, with the occasional visits from her mom – usually prefering to make her presence known through money and gifts rather than actually interacting with her only child. But that was okay, she didn't need her mom. She had friends, she had her dad, and when push came to shove, she had an entire town of people who loved her. She didn't want or need anything else. Except for her stupid cousin to not more to her town, thank you.
