You have been accepted for the role of ROMAN DELACOUR. I really enjoyed your application and loved how much detail and thought you put into Roman’s biography and personality. I also thought that you did a wonderful job of drawing from the skeleton while still making Roman your own. He comes across as so superficial but I think you did well in making it clear that he craves things that aren’t - it’s going to be really exciting to see how he develops over the course of the roleplay. I think his personality traits fit well with his backstory and I love how blase he is about so many facets of society and politics. The connections are really interesting and I think it’s going to be wonderful having you on the dash!

Roman Delacour Rodolphus Lestrange

Raised in the French countryside, Roman grew up both sheltered and exploited due to his family name. Centuries of Delacours had paved the way for greatness and growing up with a father as the French Minister for Magic meant that everything Roman did was fit for public consumption. Upon his graduation from Beauxbatons, he moved to London as an ambassador of sorts to the British Ministry. It is a job he neither loves nor loathes, but it is one that keeps his parents from complaining too badly about the fact that they’ve yet to have a grandchild. A quiet man, Roman is also stereotypically French and even being a pureblood is not enough to make him want to settle down with just one person, man or woman. As the younger son, Roman stands to inherit half of his family’s fortune due to the French magicals splitting estates instead of willing them to their eldest sons. But with his elder brother’s recent marriage to a half-veela, Roman’s parents have been over him to find someone respectable to further the family line - it must remain pure. With no interest in the war, or of furthering his family’s line, Roman is often described as being quite blunt and more than one person has said that he can be incredibly aloof.

Fletcher Travers

The two have been introduced on several occasions, in both magical and muggle London. Acquaintances, Roman has observed quite a few things when he has visited the muggle realm, things that the muggle police officers might take issue with. However, unlike most ministry employees, Roman has no desire to interfere in something that is out of his purview and as such, often turns a blind eye to the Travers family’s more nefarious activities. This has led to a strange camaraderie between the two men and they have been seen drinking together, though usually in silence.

Madeleine Bulstrode

Though she is younger than him, Madeleine is one of the few people he considers to be a friend and in his free time he is often seen in her company. But he was foolish, for his parents took notice and have begun negotiations with the Bulstrodes on a formal betrothal and engagement. While Roman will not hesitate to say he loves Madeleine, he would not say it is romantic love and the thought of marrying her terrifies him. What if he loses the only true friend he has?

Rosalind Selwyn

Though there are many years between them, Roman has become acquainted with Rosalind through societal events. He finds her ambition and somewhat straightforward demeanor refreshing, especially when compared to the rest of the simpering society ladies he’s often surrounded with [whose wishes he can never decipher]. She has not indicated offense at his own candid demeanor and Roman finds himself intrigued and curious to discover her true intentions.
