I always felt all the female DJT costumes were too similar to eachother, to be frank... They all have that long bodice with V-shaped opening, continuing into a flounced skirt of to or three different colours. The costume of Meg and Christine are not too far apart, except the colours:

Meg's also have shoulder straps and a mock blouse. Mock blouses on similar V-opening bodices can be found in the other Don Juan women's costumes too, along with flounced skirt:

So if anything I would have loved to see some different skirts and maybe a jacket or two, just to spice things up. But I DO agree that there are some gems amongst the ensemble and supporting cast costumes overall. Some favourites:

Oh. There is quite a few, actually!

I love the very clear and colourful themes Roman Solc has going on in the Czech costumes. An extra shout-out to costumes illuding stars and butterflies. I like their corseted bodices, bell skirts and large headgears:

...and OH! the rather fruity lady to the right. Just because it's wonderfully over the top and so totally something you'd see as a fancy dress idea in period Victorian magazines:

Moving on to other productions, I always loved the white butterfly with blue details in Norway, designed by Andrew Riley. In Greece and later run she got a lot bigger, fluttering wings attached the dancers arms, which gave nice movement on stage. But in Norway she had smaller wings in the back and there was a cetain delicate touch to it. I also loved that they fitted her with a wig, instead of the dancer's own hair.

That said, she is beautiful in the later incarnations as well. I think it's the clear blue lines towards the white that intrigues me:

I also rather love the golden phoenix (?) ballerina costume, both in its original Oslo look with white tutu, and it's later gold skirt incarnation. It' especially the golden bodice I love. Here depicted in the newest version with gold skirt:

On a general note I think Gabriela Tylesova's costumes for Sydney Harbour costumes are beautiful, colourful and striking. They also scream high-end crafting. An extra shout-out to the "Little Band", consisting of numerous monkey girls and mouse (?) boys. It's the sort of things nightmares are made of, and i'm here for it!

And on the note of silly/awesome animal costumes... I was never a big fan of the Restaged Tour Masquerade costumes. But my main pet peeve was the butchering of Maria Bjørnson's design. However, the animalistic masks to discrete tailcoat attires has freed itself from what they costumes once were, and exists in their own right. They are both amusing and rather period looking. Especially those with defined ears, as the mouse (?) and hare in this photo from Sydney:

Which of Carlotta's dresses, is probably a good start... Because she wears six different ones throughout the show.

I don't know the inspiration or story behind any of them, except I do see the paralelles to Maria Bjørnson's costume design for the original. The colour schemes and main ideas is rather similar. The exceptions being the 1t managers which seems more like a nod to the 2004 movie, and the Masquerade peacock dress which has a similar bodice and silhouette to the Spider one but with a different theme.

To be fair, the Czech costumes goes by many of the same ideas as Maria Bjørnson's, featuring the Monkey Girl, Mandarin Man, Rigoletto, Clown, Flower girl and so on. But in addition it's like you point out: it's like they build on this fundament and kinda expanded on what Maria Bjørnson might have designed. Not a pastiche, rather "in the vein of".
