Rolfe reminds me so much of Draco. Or the other way around, I suppose, since Rolfe came first. But either way, both of them are manipulated, young, and naive boys who want too much to be considered men by their superiors. They're falsely promised power and respect, and thus drawn to evil forces, and are veered off course like metal to a magnet. And then, they're given the choice to leave it all behind, to be safe and free, but they're just boys and they're still young and as naive as ever, so they mistakenly go with the wrong side; the side that doesn't give a shit about them, the side that would kill them in an instant if the need arose. The side that abuses it's power, rather than the side that uses it for good. And it's so easy to hate their characters because they betray those who trusted them and are part of the wrong crowd, but most of all I pity them, because they've been forced to grow up and make decisions that even grown adults aren't capable of making; doing the right thing, or the easy thing. God, I could write essays on comparisons of these two alone.
