This makes me so happy I could cry. Here is my tiny #hand #quilted #collage on cotton paper hanging in the #Netherlands at the #Rolduc Center in #Kerkrade. Thanks to Katherine Bell who hand delivered it from #California. Part of the International Association for the Study of Dreams. I became connected with this amazing group when I did my masters work on the creative power of dreamwork for writers and illustrators. I studied Maurice Sendak’s life and work. In 2014 my thesis won a prize for research and I got to attend and present at the conference the following year. Studying dreams has been life changing for me. I’m working on writing a new book called doorway to dreams: how to live a creative life through dreamwork. Sharing our dreams is so healing —making art is one way I share that energy insight and direction with others. Pictures like this help me keep up my certainty this this is so true. What a wonderful thing to send your dreams out into the world and I wonder who they will meet and what might become of them. The reception is June 24th at 6:45 pm at the conference center.
