I’m still really enjoying this run - the worldbuilding and character work with the other driver and his kid is fun, there’s a Foxglove Summer callback! and the Beverley & Nightingale teamup (SHE CALLED HIM THOMAS) is watering my crops, etc, etc. The humour is very much to my taste (”I’m more of an economic migrant”, Peter publishing a book in 2030 called ‘things Peter Grant will write down if he survives’ - like, is it meant to be canon? I don’t care, it’s canon now.) 

My main issue is that the art is sometimes a little hard to follow (the big car chase scene is so dark) and that...honestly...it’s a little much story for a comic run. 

One of the biggest sins of the last few runs is that they’ve spent three issues building up a fairly complex story and then wrapping it up VERY quickly in the last issue, and there’s no way that isn’t going to happen here. Like - IS it ethical to farm unicorns just for their horns? Why does Bev need scuba gear in the ocean? Is there an actual crime to solve here? If there isn’t, how justified was what Peter and Sahra did to Craig and his daughter? When did Peter learn the FS Fae Queen’s name? How long have the Dutch magical crimes unit been talking to the Folly? And so on - and I have no faith any of these questions are going to be answered in one more issue. Which isn’t because the story is doing something wrong, necessarily...but it makes me wish it had been a novella, in a way that other comics runs I have particularly enjoyed (e.g. Night Witch) haven’t.
