Out of everything I created this decade, What I Learned at SRU and its re-edit into What We Learned at Rokudai is certainly the biggest, most impactful, and most influential story. Looking back on it, I've grown a lot since. (thread above has oodles of art and me reflecting on the project)

Facebook reminded me that this artwork I commissioned from @pencilpaperpassion got posted 5 years ago (I think it was actually finished 6 months earlier than that). Even though some things have changed (like specifically which characters are in the background) this is still one of my favorite SRU/Rokudai pieces that I think really helps capture the emotion of a big climactic moment of Jane’s story.

I had the pleasure of being commissioned by @destiny-smasher again to illustrate a scene from his original story, What We Learned At Rokudai! The scene depicts  Katrina Kesuk reassuring a distressed Robin Nakashima-Gallagher. And here’s a link to the full Rokudai gallery! It’s worth a look at let me tell you!!!!!! A bunch of great artists have contributed to it over the years!!

Basically how I talk to my story projects and fictional characters in order to get myself out of writing slumps or times when I’m feeling down on my efforts.

I meant, now with much more snuggling and kissing and awkward professions of love at the end, portrayed in this commission done by l-a-l-o-u.
