Harriet grinned as she watched Alphonse enter the flat. “Welcome home love.” Alphonse put down his things and stepped up to her, quickly flopping down beside her on the couch. “Guid t’ be hoome loove,” he replied as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pecked her temple. Harriet beamed and leaned against him. “Hoo’ whis yer deh?” he asked as he stroked her hair lightly. “My day was alright,” she shrugged, holding up her hand for him to see. “I got a burn on my knuckle,” she explained, pointing to the red mark on her hand. “Taking a cookie sheet out of the oven.” Alphonse chuckled and pulled it to her lips for a brief kiss, smiling down at her. “Ah though’ ye were suppoosed to be a baker, aye? How d’yeh end oop burnin yerself soo mooch?” he asked teasingly. “Oh shut up,” Harriet retorted with a smirk as she reached up and grabbed his cheeks, pulling him in for a kiss.
