i think there is so much to be said for minecraft peaceful mode tbh. it is basically an accentuation of what is arguably one of the game's greatest strengths— the relaxing and therapeutic nature of building and exploring. it's simpler and easier, yes, but it also completely changes the basic worldbuilding of the game. it is arguably a completely different version of minecraft. imagine playing minecraft peaceful mode with no context at all and no idea that there were alternate game modes at all. it would be a totally different experience, and would likely end up being focused on the therapeutic aspects of the game, the almost meditative practice of mining, building, and exploring. i think there is so much merit to that
