Thought I’d imagine a little more of young!Winry’s life in the countryside. She had a penchant for naming animals on the farm with 3-letter names, so she named her favorite horse Ben and later kept calling him Big Ben. Yuriy had the best control over Big Ben--although the Rockbells never really had to worry about the gentle giant getting carried away with their little girl. Sarah was the riding teacher and often preferred to coach Winry from the ground.

This is Den Rockwell, the automailed dog. Lets start with this. Dogs can live a full, happy life with 3 legs. Its not as much a hindrance to them as it is to us, especially for a domesticated pet. Knowing that, this dog was the subject of the most horrific surgical procedures known to man. We know for a fact that it takes a fully aware, mentally prepared adult a full year of torturous pain and agonizing physical therapy to become accustomed to automail. Most reject the idea because it is too daunting for them. Yet the Rockbell’s performed this very operation on an unwilling animal. An animal that in the best case scenario would spend A TENTH of its life in misery, but more likely it would take much longer because it was not prepared for this ordeal. Den Rockwell was drugged, put to sleep, and woke up in the most intense agony anyone could imagine with a lump of heavy iron melded to its body and no idea why. It most likely spent months curled up in a ball afraid of what the world would do to it next before it even understood what was going on. WTF! This is fucked up shit!
