The original Rockaway 6K from several years ago and the new 8K that came out in 2022. I was blessed to be the field tester of the RA-6000. When I asked what the 6000 was John just said oops and wrote RA-6000 on a white box for me. I’ve always lived & enjoyed a challenge. That 6K was a solid plugging and surf casting spinner. The Rockaway 6000 Spinning Reel! MSRP around $94 and it’s a long distance caster that packs the line on closely spaced! For myself? It’s my Med plugging/jigging reel and also my surf caster as well. Got around 350yd of 40lb Eminent Braid by Soft Steel on it. This was one on the prototypes in 2019. Been one of my most used favorites ever since. 100’s of hours on it over the years and no maintenance required.
