It was hard getting to see this film without getting plenty of other people’s opinions in my head already, be they for the film, against or just plain neutral, but I feel I entered the movie theater as merely a movie goer who was curious about this remake. I was never too fond of the original two films so I didn’t have the feeling of Hollywood remaking a beloved classic so I wasn’t against the idea. First and foremost, I really liked it, a solid 7 out of 10 if we’re assigning scores and wouldn’t mind seeing it again when it’s on DVD or Netflix.
