Surly C on the beat
Awesome insight with Robin Black.
Knitting and listening to my favourite song on the bus on my way to MUN.
One reader is the theoretical general public whom youāre hoping will be interested in, or, letās be shameless, wowed by the work. This reader, however, is a slippery constituent. Try too hard to please, and youāll please no one, especially yourself. That doesnāt mean Iām writing for myself; it simply means too much awareness of a public leads more often to self-doubt than confidence. The virtue, however, is that this conjectured reader can be a great motivator because you hope someone out there actually cares about what you write.

āPineā Short Story by RobinĀ Black
āPineā is a short story from a collection called If I Loved You, I Would Tell You This published 2010, written by Robin Black. This is a wonderful example of a contemporary story loosely based on an old fairytale ā this time itās Bluebeard.
āPineā is also an excellent example of a story which centers a homophone in which several of its meanings have been extracted for narrative purposes: Pine asā¦
