DETAILS : bobbi morse was always a bit of a daddy’s girl. they were quite literally inseparable from the time that she was born until his disappearance when she was ten years old. susan and robert’s handlers devised cover stories to keep the truth from getting out to his children; he had been a shield agent from his mid twenties, and had gone missing, presumed dead, on mission. rather than that truth, bobbi was told that he walked out on them, out of susan’s fear that learning about shield would drive bobbi or her brother, benjamin, to want to join. robert morse was one of shield’s best kept secrets from the time of his death/disappearance when bobbi was ten. it wasn’t until she was in her late twenties that she ever learned the circumstances surrounding his disappearance while on mission. to this day, in her eyes, he remains the warm, supportive idol that used to take her to camps, show her how to look at stars, and went to every gymnastics meet that he could afford to get to. he was the one who got her into science, and inspired bobbi to pursue a phd from georgia tech at the age of nineteen.
