Roughly 2 months have passed since the release of our third (and likely final) Nirvana tribute LP, "Doused in Mud, Soaked in Bleach" - so a brief highlight as to why the 13 bands included were important to represent the release, which completes the original "Nirvana Studio Album" tribute-trifecta idea hatched so many years ago. # 9 - Rob Crow is a musician I've looked up to and followed since the late 90's, becoming completely enthralled with Pinback's skilled combination of brilliant melody, ample hooks and clear yet lo-fi production. The prolific nature and diverse outfit of this guy and his cohorts meant there's a wide catalog to digest, the vast majority of which has consisted of superb material. To be able to utilize these Nirvana tributes as a means to work with artists I've respected for ages brings back some of the thrills of the label's early years. Getting the green light to release a pg99 album, a Cursive record, an Opeth record, putting out the debut of the "new Floor band", Torche... those are exciting milestones that I cherish, and assembling/releasing three tribute LPs to my favorite band of my early years yields that same addictive mixture of excitement and accomplishment. "Doused in Mud, Soaked in Bleach" is still available in some capacity both on vinyl and digitally. We have some mailorder copies remaining of clear and silver vinyl, and retail stores are still able to stock some remaining copies from our distributor Revolver USA/Midheaven.
