Roark had dressed up a little bit in case little kids came to the door as a mad scientists of sorts, pulling his hair back to draw stitches on his face and wearing gloves and a lab coat with fake blood splattered on the front. He figured that in a sense, since he was already a mad geologist, it was hardly even dressing up.
He hadn’t been expecting Volkner, though. And in costume, no less.
"…" Roark wanted to berate him for not coming by for a while, but it was hard when the other looked so ridiculously adorable dressed as a vampire like that, and he found himself grinning despite himself. "That sounds like a lot of fun, and it beats staying here. So, sure! Lead the way." He stepped out and closed the door behind him, leaving a bowl of candy outside his door in case anyone came by and wanted some.
Volkner couldn't help the soft smile that tugged at his lips as he took Roark's hand, walking down the sidewalk, watching as little kids ran past in their own ridiculous Halloween costumes. "Was worried you'd think this was a stupid idea." He shrugged and twirled his little candy bucket around his free wrist.
The lights of the amusement part grew brighter as they got closer. "You look cute, in that. It...oddly fits you." His eyes glanced up and then the redhead, giving his hand a soft squeeze. "I like this time of year. It's cool but not too cold, the leavs are falling but not all of them have fallen off, smells like fall. We don't get this much in Sunnyshore. Being a beach and all."
