Yet another of the undescribed Coppers from New Zealand. This one is part of the Common Copper Group, but is still awaiting proper study.
If it's like many of the others, probably likes Muehlenbeckia as a foodplant for its caterpillars. I think it's currently resting on some.

Growing by the path down to the penguin hide at Roaring Bay on Nugget Point (no penguins alas - the population has plummeted in recent years and the colony there may now be extinct).
AKA Anaphalis rupestris, Gnaphalium trinerve, and Gnaphalium hookeri. The current binomial references the resemblance to the Pearly Everlastings in the genus Anaphalis, and renowned British botanist and explorer Sir Joseph Dalton Hooker (1817–1911).
