        “what's  for  supper?”  flynn  stepped  up  onto  the  porch  with  his  cigarette  still  lit.  his  father  preferred  him  to  put  it  out  before  ‘stinking  up  family  property’  but  his  father  would  be  gone  a  whole  long  weekend.  he  was  overseeing  the  opening  of  a  new  grocery  store…  the  first  of  theirs  to  be  opened  in  another  state.  his  father  was  pleased  as  punch  and  flynn  should've  been  too,  since  the  stores  were  his  to  inherit  one  day.  but  his  father's  absence  meant  he  was  alone  with  her.  the  gold  digger.  all  weekend  long.  flynn  scowled  down  at  his  boots.  “better  not  be  any  of  that  sloppy  joe  shit  again.  had  to  work  on  the  books  all  damn  day,  so  i  deserve  a  real  meal.”          he  looked  up  at  caroline,  his  father's  so-called  wife,  as  he  blew  out  smoke  in  her  direction.  she'd  been  sitting  on  her  ass  most  of  the  day,  no  doubt.  that's  what  she'd  married  his  father  for.  trailer  park  trash  turned  first  lady  of  a  grocery  store  empire,  or  so  some  people  had  said  after  the  marriage.  flynn  agreed.  kind  of.  and  it  made  him  mad  enough  to  want  to  kick  her  teeth  in.  he  hadn't,  of  course,  but  she  had  something  coming  to  her.  it  was  just  a  matter  of  time.  flynn's  father  might  be  dumb  as  a  door  nail…  but  flynn  could  see  right  through  her.  could  see  that  she  was  the  poorest  shoe-in  for  flynn's  mother  out  there.  just  looking  at  caroline  made  his  stomach  squirm.  “what?  you  don't  like  my  tone?  too  bad.  daddy  ain't  here  to  defend  your  honour,"  he  scoffed  and  rolled  his  eyes,  “so  suck  it  up.” 

"awww..." she couldn't help but giggle at the man sprawled out on his back at her feet— he looked more like a boy than a man to bunny, but a member of the crew had assured her he was at least twenty something, so bunny felt no shame in finding him cute. even more so when he was flustered, which he always seemed to be in her presence, complete with flushed cheeks and shifty eyes. he looked like he might pass out when she'd asked him if he could help her warm up before her match, and he very nearly did when she'd ended the warm up with her thighs wrapped around his head. she'd let up before his body went limp, and after she hopped back up to her feet, she looked down to see his erection tenting his pants. "so cute... is that for me?"

it took a fraction of a second for preston to realize his mistake, regret setting in as he was still in the process of shoving owen away, but it hadn't been a conscious decision. his body was acting of its own volition, doing the first thing it could think of to try and shut him up. as hard as he tried to keep his head down and do the right thing, keeping his true thoughts to himself so he wouldn't make a fuss, there was only so much provocation he could take before he lashed out in some way, tame as it may have been. he truly didn't have an aggressive bone in his body, and the gentle push proved that, but it wasn't about the harm he'd done. he'd inadvertently challenged owen's authority in front of his friends, and with alcohol involved, his dramatic response was completely predictable, preston practically cowering beneath his cold gaze. "i'm s-sorry, i didn't... i-it was an accident..." panic was in his eyes, wide and shifty like a trapped rabbit merely awaiting the hunter to deliver the killing blow. the partygoers around them jeered and heckled the pair, egging owen on, but all preston could hear was the pounding of his own heart in his chest.

preston had to be dreaming. hallucinating, maybe... it could be the drugs, but honestly, his whole life had felt surreal since his father's second family popped up out of the woodwork, suddenly finding himself sharing a household with a gorgeous set of twins, like he'd slipped and hit his head, and this was all the result of his overly horny imagination. the sight before him now was borderline pornographic, two girls rolling about on the floor as they both grappled for the upper hand, giggles and squeals and soft thumps adding a suggestive soundtrack to the whole thing. it wasn't like he'd never wrestled like that with his brothers, but at the same time... he'd never wrestled like that with his brothers. it was more playful than aggressive, something almost like foreplay in the way they teased each other, preston narrowly snatching their bong up from off the floor before they could knock it over. he'd been gawking at them with his mouth slightly agape from his spot on the couch for god knows how long now, the stirring he felt in the pit of his gut resulting in him tenting his pants before he could do anything to stop it. cheeks flushed bright red, he hurriedly placed the bong over his crotch to try and conceal his erection, trying (and failing) to look anywhere but at his sisters.

when she tilts her head back down and lowers it away from her face, she startles slightly at the sight him standing right there next to her. " shit ! " it hardly even sounds like a curse in her sweet southern drawl. " jesus h christ, pace, ya scared me, " she shakes her head, nervous laughter following as she tries not to look at him. she felt so awkward.

of course buffy had heard plenty of horror stories about women in her profession being brutalized on the street, and how they rarely ever received the justice they deserved. all women had been raised to be wary of walking alone at night, but for those in the industry, it could be even more treacherous. they didn't have the same protection that others had, routinely dehumanized and treated as nothing more than a vessel to extract pleasure— who would care about another dead whore besides her peers? despite that knowledge, buffy had never felt unsafe when traveling alone. she had enough stories to share of her own, had been through hell and lived to tell the tale, and she had no doubt that she could handle herself. whatever big bad was lurking out there in the dark, she was badder. her heels click-clacked on the asphalt as she stomped down the alleyway, treading the same path she'd taken countless times before on her way home from work. it was much quicker than taking the more well populated, properly lit streets, and she'd never encountered any trouble taking that route before. for whatever reason, on this particular night she came to the chain link fence cutting off the alley from the main street and found the gate to be locked. with a huff of frustration, she grabbed the gate and shook it, as if her efforts could somehow break the heavy chain keeping it shut. after a moment or two of jostling, she finally gave up and turned back, resigned to retread her steps and just go the long way, but she only made it a few steps when she saw a dark figure looming not far in the distance, menacing in their presence, though they simply remained standing still. it was only when they revealed the knife they'd been concealing that her heart leapt up out of her chest and into her throat, instinctively turning back in the other direction, though she knew escape would be futile. she threw her full weight at the gate, pushed, and yanked, and kicked, but it was to no avail. there was no one around, and nowhere to run from the figure slowly stalking over to where she remained cornered like prey.

" why don't i give you a ride home ? " it's a perfectly normal suggestion, return her back to her home after she'd spent the night in his babysitting his children and allowing him to indulge himself in the obscene fantasy of her as his wife, the mother of his kids. his eyes roam her figure while she looks away, drinking in every curve he ached to get his hands on.
