At the Movies - Mad Max: Road of Fury (2015)
5 out of 5 stars
I remember The Road Warrior, time for chaos, ruined dreams, this wasteland, time for survived and a man called Max. It been 30 years and the new Mad Max is a worthy sequel. It is the same post-apocalyptic world and everything has fallen apart, although there has been some kind of ecological collapse and lack of water, a modern twist. Survival is the name of the game, Max is still warrior of the wasteland and this time he join forces with Furiosa both people seeking redemption.
Director George Miller has topped it on all parts; the action pretty much never stops. The film’s constant sense of violent motion is in the service of incredible mind-blowing, astonishing imagery and transcendent moments. Mr. Miller has created an even freakier world, crazier insane car stunts filled with explosions and a flame-throwing jumpsuit-wearing, truck-riding guitarist - mix between Keith Richards and a scarecrow.
Your mind is flooded with so much insane imagery, high-octane car chases, real vehicles, real locations, real movement and real insane stunts. One of my favorites sequence is the polecats.
This is an astonishing work of art with insane and extreme visuals and intense beauty filling the frame. A must see.
