The presence and state of road networks are key indicators in socioeconomic analyses using remote sensing data. At Atlas AI, we developed a low cost ROad SEgmentation (ROSE) method using state of the art deep learning technology that delivers primary, secondary and thryicary roads from 5m resolution monthly-issued basemaps of Africa - NICFI @ Planet.
