Remorse of an Adventurer for the Director's Cut??
Ha, I love that I get asked about Remorse still ages later. I'm actually going to have to re-read it before I do this, but I've been meaning to reread to enter 'remorse 2 mode' anyway.
Some things I would say as far as the whole story, I changed the ending as I wrote so many times, not settling on the Alp ending until after chapter 6 was published. Since writing that story I've wanted to do bigger things with it, my only solution was to plan a sequel. Remorse 2's goal is going to be as follows:
-return Hilda to the action, but still from Frida's eyes
-still be an AU of Hilda season 2
-close every plotline from the Viridescent Shadows trilogy, except one.
-answer as to why adult David is a transwoman in Halfway To Nowhere
That's all, I will seriously do a full reread with commentary tomorrow!

That Remorse directors cut is taking some time. But is it weird to say, two years on, I don't like Remorse as much as I used to? Like I hate some if my own choices. I'd take Nightmarish Nine or Seventeen Forever over Remorse.
I want to clear something up about Remorse of an Adventurer.
I saw @grazer-razor talking about the dead!mum AU the other day, which brought this up.
I did not create the Dead!Mum AU, that was @ghost-buddie. Remorse of an Adventurer is based on it, with ghosts blessing.
For some reason people seem to think it’s the other way around, but no dead!mum isn’t based on remorse, remorse is a fanwork of the dead!mum AU.
Remorse has always sparked drama so I’m used to that, but I’m happy where my dark little story ended up. I never really wanted Remorse to be edgy, just dark, there are some ideas in the dead!mum tag on amino that kinda scare me.
