full name: regan noelle clarington.
hometown: cape cod, massachusetts.
orientations: homosexual/homoromantic.
regan was only three months old when she lost her mother in a tragic car accident. lina and reginald clarington were young and in love, with lina bringing out reggieās more spirited side. they were perhaps too young to start a family, but they loved their daughter wholeheartedly, so they really were three incredibly happy months (not that regan remembers). when lina died, however, so did reginaldās spark. an army brat himself, heād never really planned to follow in his fatherās footsteps, but he needed something to cling onto in the wake of losing his wife, something other than their daughter, so reginald eventually enlisted, and begun to follow the same path as his father. despite his grief, he met his current wife, petunia, soon after linaās passing. true to the military stereotype, they were married before regan turned one.
due to reginaldās career, the claringtonās have moved around a lot, so it is difficult for regan to really pinpoint an actual hometown for herself. she considers cape cod, massachusetts, where they eventually settled to be home, but unfortunately, it was always far from a happy one. it wasnāt like reginald didnāt adore petunia, but she admittedly has never held a candle to lina, so his real joy kind of just ended with her, making for something of a gloomy upbringing for his childrenāall of whom he and lina adopted after learning petunia couldnāt carry children biologically. the household was run like a tight ship, with both reginald and petunia expecting their children (regan included; petunia has always considered her her child, too) to be respectful and disciplined, just as any eventual lieutenant generalās children should be.
regan never really knew what she wanted to do with her life, other than to make her parents proud. they expected excellence and eventually respectful career paths for their children, so the medical field was kind of pushed onto her. oftentimes sarcastic, sometimes withdrawn in personality, regan never saw herself as a top brain surgeon or anything of the like, but having spent so much time moving around and keeping to herself, much of that time in the background quietly studying those around her, she begun to develop a real feel for people. a career as a therapist wasnāt exactly the highest regarded thing in reginald nor petuniaās minds, but it was what felt right for regan, so she made the decision to pursue it.
to hear her parents talk about her job to their snooty friends at their extravagant parties, anyone would think she was running the most high end establishment in the country. in reality, she doesnāt run anything; she is simply a licensed therapist at somebody elseās practice, and that is exactly the way she likes it. fortunately, she doesnāt have to deal too much with their fabricated version; she has lived in rhode island now for a number of years, where she is close enough to still go home when needed, but has the privilege of her own privacy, too.
